We are happy to share that we have welcomed a new team member. Let me introduce Viktor Persson as our new IT Project Manager.
Hello Viktor! Great to have you here for real finally. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Viktor during our team days I Åre in December so we are not exactly strangers to each other anymore but now we exchanged dogsledding and snowmobiles for computers and Teams-meetings. Somehow I think that you like both those worlds. Tell me, how did you end up at SAM Nordic?
Thank you. When the opportunity to work as an IT Project Manager at SAM Nordic presented itself, I did some research and became interested in what SAM Nordic bring to the market and enables for their customers and end users. It’s easy to forget the core values and impact of your business when you work with IT and I felt that being here would be a constant reminder that I’m working for a good cause.
What did you do before you came to SAM Nordic?
I recently came from a similar role as IT Project Manager at a company working with Energy Distribution. Despite being completely new to the pharmaceutical industry I hope to bring valuable insights on how to digitalize business systems and establish a close relationship between IT and operations. I like to describe myself as an IT generalist and often work across borders with various functions which make me think I’m a good fit at SAM Nordic.
So far, what is the best about SAM Nordic as a company?
The people. I’ve had a very warm welcome and I can feel that everyone is part of creating that great work environment.
What do you look forward most to, in the coming months, working at SAM Nordic?
Learning. Not just the industry and the products but also the people, the systems, and the entire IT environment. It’s a lot of information to take in and process but I enjoy it and it’s the perfect start to a new journey.
What is the most valuable thing you learned, so far, in your career?
Never be afraid to ask, knowledge is key.
I could not agree with you more, let us ask more questions. Let us be curious like the kids are, a bit more! Ok Viktor, my last question for you, is where will you mostly be found, when not at work?
Likely at the gym or the local skatepark. I’m also on a mission to visit as many different playgrounds as possible with my sons.
