Rare Disease Day 2024

This year, the day falls on 29th February, the rarest day of a leap year!

Globally, 300 million people live with one or more of the 6000 identified rare conditions. These staggering figures underscore the significance of promoting awareness and driving change through Rare Disease Day.

Rare Disease Day is a global movement that occurs annually on the last day of February. It raises awareness for those living with, supporting, and treating rare diseases. With 600+ events worldwide and participation from 106 countries, Rare Disease Day demonstrates the community’s strength and unity.

We highlight this day since we support democratic health care where no patient is left behind. If you want to participate in this movement, some events occur in the Nordic and Baltic regions. ⤵
