What professor Louise Emmett really loves is research. As a doctor, she says, you are able to change the lives for some people. With clinical research you can change the lives for millions of people.

Professor Louise Emmett is Director of Theranostics and Nuclear medicine at St Vincent’s hospital in Sydney. She has been and is involved in several multi-site multidisciplinary cancer research in Australia, including both imaging and therapy. And, she is impressively productive. Louise has published over 80 original papers in peer reviewed journals in the last 10 years, received a number of grants for clinical research and received large research funds.

In this episode Louise Emmett explains theragnostics in prostate cancer and how prostate imaging can be used to understand the phenotype of the tumor. A step towards a more personalized treatment.
